Former President of Colombia; flew with Epstein, listed in black book
Former Colombian President Andrés Pastrana (1998-2002) appeared approximately thirty times in newly declassified U.S. Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein, including email exchanges with Ghislaine Maxwell from 2003-2004 and documented travel on Epstein's private jet. However, Pastrana has consistently denied any improper connection to Epstein or involvement in criminal activity. He stated he met Epstein in Dublin in 2002 through Maxwell, flew on Epstein's plane in March 2003 when Epstein was publicly known as a financier rather than a convicted offender, and invited them to meet Fidel Castro in Cuba. In February 2026, Colombian Senator Iván Cepeda filed a criminal complaint requesting investigation into Pastrana's possible criminal liability, but no charges have been filed and no investigation outcome has been determined. Pastrana has rejected allegations as attacks on his dignity and denied any connection to Epstein's crimes.
Former Colombian president Andrés Pastrana denied any involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuses against minors, stating he was unaware of Epstein's crimes at the time, did not fly on the Lolita Express or visit Epstein's island, and had only limited professional contacts.
