Actress; name-dropped by Epstein per witness testimony; denies any association
Cameron Diaz was named in unsealed Jeffrey Epstein court documents released on January 3, 2024, as part of a 2015 lawsuit filed by victim Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell. Diaz was mentioned only when an alleged victim (Johanna Sjoberg) was asked if she had met various celebrities and answered no to Diaz, among others. Sjoberg characterized Epstein's references to knowing celebrities like Diaz as "name dropping." Diaz's publicist issued a statement denying any connection: "Cameron never met Jeffrey Epstein, nor was she ever in the same place as him or had any association with him whatsoever." Court documents explicitly note that most people named in the unsealed files are not accused of crimes. Diaz has not been arrested, charged, convicted, or investigated in connection with the Epstein case.
