Former USVI governor's wife who worked for Epstein
Cecile de Jongh, the former First Lady of the US Virgin Islands and office manager of Jeffrey Epstein's USVI companies, has been accused by JPMorgan Chase in civil litigation of aiding Epstein's sex trafficking operations. According to court filings and deposition testimony, she allegedly helped arrange visas and enrollment for young women connected to Epstein, assisted him in evading sex offender monitoring laws, advised him on political influence in the territory, and acted as a conduit between Epstein and USVI government officials. She has not been criminally charged, arrested, or convicted. De Jongh testified in a deposition that she confronted Epstein about his 2006 arrest and accepted his explanation that it was a one-time mistake, and claimed she did not learn about the broader scope of his abuse until 2019 when the Miami Herald published its investigative series.
