David Rodgers was Jeffrey Epstein's private pilot for nearly 30 years (1991–2019), serving as chief pilot for more than a decade. He was subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York in July 2019, and later testified as a government witness for the prosecution in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial (November–December 2021). Rodgers maintained meticulous personal flight logs of over 1,000 Epstein flights, which were admitted into evidence and used to corroborate accusers' accounts. He testified about seeing accuser 'Jane' on multiple flights, confirmed Virginia Giuffre flew on Epstein's jet 32 times, and described Maxwell as 'number two' in Epstein's hierarchy. He also testified about a personal financial connection: Epstein paid for his daughter's high school and college tuition. Rodgers and fellow pilots had previously testified in civil depositions stemming from lawsuits after Epstein's 2007 plea. Attorneys for an Epstein accuser in 2015 raised concerns that flight logs Rodgers handed over were incomplete. No charges, arrests, or criminal accountability outcomes have been reported against Rodgers personally; he has not been accused of any crimes.
