Indian politician who met Epstein at Manhattan townhouse three times
Hardeep Singh Puri, a Union Minister in the Indian government, had business-related email exchanges and in-person meetings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein between June 2014 and June 2017. The emails, made public by the US Justice Department on January 30, 2026, span nearly three years and document at least three confirmed meetings at Epstein's New York residence. The communications focused on business networking, investment opportunities in India's internet sector, and connections with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs like LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman. Puri has stated these interactions occurred before he joined the Modi government and that he was unaware of Epstein's full criminal conduct during this period. A preliminary government investigation found no objectionable or criminal involvement by Puri. However, Puri has been inconsistent in his public statements about the nature and extent of his communications with Epstein.
