JPMorgan CEO deposed in Epstein-related lawsuit
Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has not been personally arrested, charged, convicted, or sentenced in connection with the Jeffrey Epstein case. However, Dimon has been the subject of congressional and regulatory scrutiny regarding JPMorgan Chase's 15-year banking relationship with Epstein. In depositions, Dimon testified he had no personal involvement with Epstein's accounts and was unaware of compliance concerns until Epstein's 2019 arrest. Congressional Democrats have raised questions about Dimon's knowledge and executives' conduct, while JPMorgan Chase settled multiple lawsuits ($290 million to victims, $75 million to US Virgin Islands) without admitting liability. The bank's failure to timely file Suspicious Activity Reports and executives' alleged assistance to Epstein remain subjects of investigation.
Jamie Dimon, as CEO of JPMorgan Chase, oversaw the bank's long-term relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, including processing over $1 billion in transactions and overlooking evidence of his sex trafficking for over 15 years until 2013.
