MIT Bitcoin Club co-founder who pitched Epstein on crypto investments
Jeremy Rubin is a Bitcoin developer and MIT graduate who maintained professional contact with Jeffrey Epstein from 2014 to 2018. Rubin was introduced to Epstein in 2014 by Linda Stone and MIT Media Lab director Joi Ito while studying electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. Between 2014 and 2018, Rubin and Epstein exchanged emails, met in person on multiple occasions, and discussed cryptocurrency research and potential funding opportunities. Rubin organized the MIT Bitcoin Project and appeared approximately 726 times in the newly released DOJ Epstein files. The records document meetings, financial payments, and technical discussions related to cryptocurrency ventures. However, the available sources explicitly state that 'the records reviewed...do not indicate any alleged criminal wrongdoing by Rubin' and that he 'served as a middleman between Epstein and crypto companies that needed early-stage funding.' Rubin has made public statements expressing hope that the document release would bring 'us closer to justice for those harmed and a better understanding of the nature of corruption in our society.' No charges, arrests, convictions, or legal determinations against Rubin have been documented in the available sources.
