U.S. Navy Secretary who flew on Epstein's Boeing 727 in 2006
John Phelan, currently serving as U.S. Navy Secretary, is listed on a flight manifest from March 3, 2006, showing he traveled from London to New York on Jeffrey Epstein's private jet. According to CNN, a close friend of Phelan confirmed he was on the flight but stated it was his only interaction with Epstein. The friend indicated Phelan was invited by Bear Stearns CEO Jimmy Cayne and did not know in advance they would be flying on Epstein's plane. CNN reported there is no evidence Phelan was aware of any wrongdoing by Epstein or his associates at the time of the flight. Phelan, then working in the financial sector, has had no further contact with Epstein since that single flight. The flight manifest was released as part of documents from the House Oversight Committee and the Department of Justice's release of 3.5 million Epstein-related documents.
John Phelan, the US Navy Secretary, was listed on a 2006 flight manifest for Jeffrey Epstein's private jet from London to New York, though associates state it was his only contact and he was unaware of Epstein's crimes.
