Ghislaine Maxwell's brother; son of Robert Maxwell
Kevin Maxwell is the younger brother of Ghislaine Maxwell and has no documented direct involvement in Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise. His connection to the case is entirely familial and reputational. Less than 24 hours after a jury convicted his sister Ghislaine Maxwell on December 29, 2021, Kevin spoke to ABC News, expressing shock at the verdict and declaring he did not believe "for a single second" that his sister was guilty of the crimes charged. He attended a substantial portion of the trial alongside other Maxwell siblings (Isabel, Christine, and Ian). In August 2022, Kevin Maxwell was named as a co-defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by Denver law firm Haddon, Morgan and Foreman, which alleged that Ghislaine Maxwell had designated Kevin to coordinate payment of her legal defense fees following her 2020 arrest. The firm claimed Kevin made only sporadic payments — the last of $141,000 in January 2022 — leaving a balance of over $878,000 unpaid. He had reportedly urged the firm to continue working on appeal issues despite the mounting debt and blamed Ghislaine's husband, Scott Borgerson, for impeding payments. There are no credible reports that Kevin Maxwell was arrested, charged, or investigated in connection with any Epstein-related criminal conduct. His role in the broader Epstein case is limited to that of a family member and vocal public defender of his convicted sister.
