Stanford virologist who proposed Epstein fund sexual behavior study
Nathan Wolfe, a former Stanford University virologist, appeared 589 times in the Jeffrey Epstein Files released by the Department of Justice in January 2026. Between 2008 and 2013, Wolfe corresponded with Epstein seeking research funding for projects including studies on sexual behavior and the development of a 'female viagra.' In emails, Wolfe described interns' physical attractiveness to Epstein and invited him to events. Wolfe has stated he never witnessed or participated in any misconduct, never visited Epstein's island or flew on his plane, and met with him only professionally at his homes in New York and Palm Beach. He has expressed regret for seeking funding from Epstein and condemned Epstein's crimes. There is no evidence that Wolfe was arrested, charged, convicted, or criminally implicated in any wrongdoing related to Epstein's sex trafficking operations.
