Former Israeli PM; ~30 documented visits to Epstein residences post-conviction
Ehud Barak, former Israeli Prime Minister (1999-2001), maintained an extensive relationship with convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein beginning in 2003. According to leaked documents released following the DOJ's January 2026 disclosure of millions of pages in the Epstein investigation, Barak visited Epstein approximately 30 times between 2013 and 2017, stayed at his New York apartments multiple times, and flew on his private jet. Leaked emails show Barak visited Epstein's private island Little Saint James in January 2014 and leveraged the relationship to approach powerful figures including Peter Thiel and associates of Vladimir Putin. Documents also reveal discussions between Barak and Epstein regarding consultancy payments to Tony Blair and Israeli immigration policy. Barak has denied any wrongdoing, stating that when he flew on Epstein's planes, his wife and security guards accompanied him, though some leaked emails suggest he arranged for security not to join him on the island visit. There is no evidence of criminal charges, arrests, convictions, or sentences against Barak in connection with Epstein. His involvement is characterized as a personal and professional relationship with the convicted sex trafficker, documented through correspondence and travel records rather than any legal accountability determination.
