Colony Capital founder; U.S. Ambassador to Turkey; 544 EFTA mentions; flew on Epstein aircraft; direct email correspondence
Tom Barrack, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and special envoy to Syria, maintained documented personal and business contact with Jeffrey Epstein for over a decade, including years after Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor. The newly released Justice Department files contain over 100 email and text exchanges showing Barrack continued regular communication with Epstein from at least 2002 through 2017, including meetings, business dealings, and social contact. While sources confirm Barrack referred to Epstein as his "role model" and that Epstein requested inappropriate photos, there is no evidence that Barrack participated in, had knowledge of, or was charged with any criminal conduct related to Epstein's crimes. Barrack has not been arrested, charged, convicted, or sentenced in connection with the Epstein case.
