Marvin Minsky, a deceased MIT computer scientist and AI pioneer, received a $100,000 research grant from Jeffrey Epstein in 2002[1][7]. Minsky organized two academic symposia on Epstein's private island Little Saint James in 2002 and 2011, the latter occurring after Epstein was a registered sex offender[1][6]. Virginia Roberts Giuffre alleged in a 2016 deposition that Epstein sent her to have sex with Minsky[1][2][8]. Minsky's widow, Gloria Rudisch, denied this allegation[1]. Minsky died in 2016[3][5].
