Co-founder of Zagat; flew on Epstein's jet to TED conference
Nina Zagat (née Safronoff), co-founder of Zagat Restaurant Surveys alongside her husband Tim Zagat, had documented social contact with Jeffrey Epstein. Flight records show that Nina and Tim Zagat flew on Epstein's private jet in February 2002 on a trip to a TED conference in Monterey, California, traveling alongside other prominent figures including cognitive psychologist Steven Pinker and TV executives Geraldine and Kit Laybourne. The couple was subsequently photographed at the Edge Foundation's "billionaires' dinner." Additionally, emails and calendar records obtained via public records requests indicate that Tim and Nina Zagat attended at least one dinner planned by Epstein in 2014 — a gathering of approximately a dozen elite guests at a prominent New York restaurant. Zagat also appears in Epstein's personal address book. There is no public evidence that Nina Zagat was involved in Epstein's sex-trafficking crimes, participated in any exploitation of victims, was investigated, charged, or faced any legal proceedings related to the Epstein case. Her documented connection reflects shared membership in New York's elite social circles rather than any alleged criminal conduct. When contacted, Tim Zagat described Epstein as "radioactive" and declined further comment, noting Epstein was never an investor in their company.
