French modeling agent; charged with sex trafficking; died in custody before trial
Jean-Luc Brunel, a French modeling agent and close associate of Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested in December 2020 and charged with rape of minors in connection with Epstein's sex trafficking operation. He was found dead in his Paris prison cell in February 2022 while awaiting trial. According to court documents released in 2026, Brunel was included on an FBI list of Epstein's 'co-conspirators.' Virginia Giuffre alleged that Brunel sexually trafficked girls for Epstein and that she was raped and abused by him on multiple occasions as a minor. Brunel consistently denied involvement in any illegal activities with Epstein, though he received up to a million dollars from Epstein in 2004 to launch MC2 Model Management and was listed as a passenger on Epstein's private plane 25 times between 1998 and 2005.
